Abstract

Cloud-based communication systems have emerged as a fundamental infrastructure supporting modern digital ecosystems, enabling scalable, flexible, and cost-efficient data exchange across distributed environments. However, the increasing reliance on cloud architectures has amplified concerns related to data security, privacy preservation, and trust management. This study proposes a comprehensive framework that integrates cryptographic techniques, access control mechanisms, secure communication protocols, and service-level agreement (SLA)-based verification to enhance security and privacy in cloud communication systems. Drawing upon existing literature, the framework synthesizes identity-based cryptography, proxy re-encryption, searchable encryption, and blockchain-enabled integrity mechanisms to address multi-layered vulnerabilities. The research critically evaluates existing methodologies and identifies gaps in interoperability, scalability, and dynamic trust enforcement. The proposed framework demonstrates improved resilience against unauthorized access, data leakage, and insider threats while maintaining performance efficiency. The findings highlight the importance of hybrid cryptographic models and policy-driven architectures in achieving robust cloud security. The study contributes a structured, scalable, and adaptable approach suitable for modern communication networks, particularly in IoT-integrated and big data environments.
