Abstract

The integration of computer vision and natural language understanding (NLU) represents a transformative paradigm in multimedia robotics, enabling machines to interpret, reason, and interact with complex environments in a human-like manner. This paper proposes an intelligent multimodal architecture that synergistically combines visual perception and linguistic reasoning to enhance robotic cognition and decision-making. The research addresses key challenges including semantic grounding, multimodal representation learning, and real-time contextual interpretation. A hybrid framework is developed that integrates deep visual feature extraction, probabilistic semantic modeling, and structured language parsing to achieve robust perception-action coupling. The methodology leverages latent variable models, semantic parsing frameworks, and representation learning techniques to unify heterogeneous data streams. Experimental analysis demonstrates improved task performance in object-action recognition, visual question answering, and contextual reasoning. The findings indicate that multimodal fusion significantly enhances system adaptability and interpretability compared to unimodal approaches. The study contributes to the advancement of intelligent robotic systems capable of operating in dynamic multimedia environments, while also highlighting limitations related to scalability and computational complexity. Future research directions focus on real-time optimization and deeper semantic alignment.
